Betty Miller Williams, 72, of Bowling Green, died at 9 a.m. Dec. 24, 2009, at her residence.

The Butler County native was born Jan. 17, 1937. She was a retired cook from Country Fixings, a believer in the Baptist faith and was saved and baptized in 1980 at Glendale Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a daughter of the late Herman Miller and Carrie Belcher Miller and the wife of the late John R. Williams. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl Miller, J.R. Miller, Herman Junior Miller and Robert Miller; and three sisters, Louise Belcher, Eardine Belcher and Iline Spivey.

Funeral is at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Woodburn City Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Hardiman, of Bowling Green; two sons, Johnny A. Williams and his wife, Sue, of Woodburn, and James Paul Williams and his wife, Joyce, of Cave City; a sister, Helen Armour and her husband, Bobby, of Bowling Green; a brother, Leon Miller, of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Roger, Tracy, Brian, J.R. and Travis; six great-grandchildren, Justin, Timmy, Kayle, Vaston, Harley and Ja’Kaila; lifelong friends, Shawn and Larie Hargis, Mark McLean and Glen Sharer; and several nieces and nephews.
