It’s time once again for musicians from the area to gather in support of arts in our local schools. The Jambodian Holiday Bash was established a decade ago as a fundraiser for the SonRhea Foundation which provides instruments and funding to local schools to open art opportunities for students who might otherwise not be able to afford participation. Traditionally a gathering of established artists from the area reuniting with their old bandmates who are in for the holidays, in recent years the Jambodians have welcomed newcomers to the music scene. This year the event has expanded to a second night to include more performances.
On Saturday, December 26 at 6pm Jambodian regulars including The Kentucky Headhunters, Duckbutter with Sam Bush, Tommy Womack, Rufus Huff, Cootie Brown with Jane Pearl, Wish, Song Farmers with Curtis Burch, members of Black Stone Cherry and Tyrone Dunn Experiment will take the stage. Sunday December 27 starting at 6pm is dedicated to the New Jambodians including Matt Schutz from Cage the Elephant performing with Zac Lindsey, Mona, Willow Shade, Aaron Davis, 5th Year, Signal the Revolution and The Foretolds. Both nights will feature special guest appearances.
