AUBURN β Edna Bentley Rector, 89, of Auburn, died Dec. 13, 2009, at an Auburn nursing home.
The Logan County native was born July 5, 1920. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Auburn Hosiery Mills as a packer and assistant knitter. She was a member of Berea Christian Church. She was a daughter of the late John Bentley and Ida Elsie Ferrell Bentley. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald βDonβ Rector.
Funeral was today at Young Funeral Home, Auburn chapel, with burial in Auburn Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Berea Christian Church or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Horace Rector; a daughter, Brenda Baugh and Sheldon, of Russellville; a sister, Gathryn Thomas, of Russellville; two grandchildren, Kevin Baugh and his wife, Carol, and Karyn Snell and her husband, Chris; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Rebecca.
