EDMONTON — Howard Lewis Parrish, 71, of Summer Shade died Sept. 23, 2009, at his home.
He was a farmer and attended Edmonton United Methodist Church. He was a son of the late Fred D. Parrish and Sadie Burton Garmon Parrish. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary Piercy Parrish.
Funeral was Saturday at Edmonton United Methodist Church, with burial in Missionary Mound Cemetery. Butler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Jean Thompson Parrish; three children, Terry Parrish and his wife, Sandra, and Debbie Hensley and her husband, Eddie, all of Summer Shade, and Melody Coomer and her husband, Donnie, of Randolph; six grandchildren, Brad and Derek Hensley, Tony Tinsley and Kyle, Tyler and Emma Coomer; two sisters, Lucille Scott of St. Cloud, Fla., and Virginia Meredith and her husband, Jesse, of Bowling Green; two brothers, Carline Parrish and his wife, Edna, of Glasgow and Bob Parrish and his wife, Ilean, of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
