Glasgow artist Steve Clay a winner at Kentucky State Fair

Steve Clay, a resident of Glasgow and a local artist, has outdone himself at the 2009 Kentucky State Fair. He entered three pieces of 2-D fine art work, and all three pieces won. 

His graphite drawing entitled, “Twisted”, won 2nd place, while his transparent watercolor painting of an aging and neglected car won 1st place and his watercolor painting, “Barn at Hays”, won the top honors of the Whip Mix Corporate Purchase Award.  The paintings were on exhibit at the State Fair until August 30th. 

Steve currently has paintings on display at the Scottsville Library and his drawings and paintings will soon be seen at the upcoming Summer’s End Art Show on Saturday, September 19th at the Allen County Extension Office. Steve is a member of the Scottsville Art Guild as well as a member of the Arts Committee of the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce.
