All good things must come to an end, and tonight was the finale of the 2009 Concerts In the Park series. And who better than to close out the Fountain Square Park part of the series than Andrea Tanaro & the Ghost Riders. Serving up their special brand of blues, rock and country favorites they did not disappoint. With hits like what I’ll call Andrea’s signature song, Me & Bobbie McGee (sung in the style of Janis Joplin, and quite nicely I might add) you just couldn’t go wrong. The band plays Bowling Green a lot (440 Main, Wha Bahs, etc.) so go check them out when you’re in the mood for some great singing and playing.

Pennman bought his first 45 at age nine and has been hooked on rock ever since. He has spent much of his disposable income on music, especially live performances. He writes reviews of the shows he sees and keeps a keen lookout for upcoming shows in or near Bowling Green. He has a BA in Communications, specializing in journalism, and has dabbled in music himself, both as a player and instructor.
