Joseph C. Nevins

TOMPKINSVILLE — Joseph Clark Nevins, 61, of Antioch, Tenn., died Aug. 25, 2009.

The Glasgow native was born Jan. 3, 1948. He had retired from Sun Trust Bank after 35 years and attended Lipscomb University and the LSU School of Banking. He was a son of the late Arthur Nevins and Mary Belle Smith Nevins.

Graveside service is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Strode Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Grider Nevins; a daughter, Jennifer Burton of Antioch; a son, Andrew Nevins; two sisters, Isabella Ross and her husband, Joe, and Barbara Watson; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randall and Jennie Mae Grider of Tompkinsville.
