MUNFORDVILLE — Shurilda M. “Pee Wee” Harrison Embry, 80, of Bonnieville died June 30, 2009, at her daughter’s residence in Elizabethtown.

She was retired from General Electric and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Mollie Thompson.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Brooks Funeral Home, with burial in St. Benedict Cemetery in Wax. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Embry; two daughters, Tammy Harrison Allen and her husband, Rick, and Toni Metcalf and her husband, Jim, all of Elizabethtown; five sisters, Cecilia Mills and Rita Jones, both of Greensburg, Christine Burns of Louisville, Janie Tuttle of Cub Run and Catherine Thompson of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Atlee Thompson of Fairport, N.Y., and Almon Thompson of Boston, Ky.; a grandchild, Melissa Leigh; a stepgrandchildren, Melissa Britt; and two great-grandchildren, Spencer and Savannah Leigh.
