Elizabeth Davis Wilson, 51, of Russellville died May 20, 2009, at her home.
The Russellville native was born Feb. 24, 1958. She was an attorney at law in her own practice, Elizabeth D. Wilson, Attorney at Law. She was a 1976 graduate of Russellville High School, Vanderbilt University, class of 1980, and the University of Louisville School of Law, class of 1983. After graduation, she served as a legislative assistant to Sen. Wendell Ford for five years and as a chief lobbyist for the Humane Society of the United States in Washington, D.C. She was an assistant Logan County Attorney for eight years. She served as past board member of Habitat for Humanity, Logan County Humane Society, was president of the Logan-Todd County Bar Association, parade chair of the Logan County Heritage and Tobacco Festival and past judge and assistant of the Logan County and Russellville high schools’ speech and debate departments. She was recipient of the Kentucky Bar Association Pro Bono Award, was a Vanderbilt University alumni recruiter, served on the University of Louisville Law School Alumni Committee, was a past board member of Friends of the Library, was a Junior Achievement classroom teacher, Shakertown Gala, and was committee chairman for the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. She was a daughter of the late Martha Oakley Wilson Dodson and Robert A. Wilson Jr. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Dr. Carlisle V. Dodson; and grandparents, Alvis and Monico Allen Oakley and Robert and Maude Wilson Sr.
A celebration of her life will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at her residence. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her sister, Carolyn Wilson Mallory of Russellville; a niece, Monica Mallory of Charleston, S.C.; a stepson, Victor Dodson of Nashville; a stepdaughter, Julia Dodson of Bluffton, S.C.; a stepgrandson, Alex Dodson of Russellville; a special friend, John Upton of Russellville; her faithful companion, Easter; and many cousins whom she loved dearly.
