Drs. John and Donna Blackburn of Bowling Green announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Viehe, to John Colvin Deaton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Colvin Deaton of Alvaton.

Laura is a 2001 graduate of Bowling Green High School and a 2005 graduate of Western Kentucky University in sales marketing. She is an alumni member of Alpha Delta Pi and is currently attending nursing school at Western Kentucky University.

John is a 2000 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2009 graduate of Western Kentucky University in electrical engineering. He will attend school this fall at Tennessee Technical University.

The wedding will be at 4:30 p.m. June 6, 2009, at Community Church of Christ, with a reception afterward at the home of the bride.
