Ronna Lee Newman, 61, of Bowling Green died at 8:47 p.m. May 9, 2009, at The Medical Center.

The Brookfield, Mo., native was a graduate of Bloomington High School, part owner of Diamond Screw Products Inc. and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a daughter of the late Ronald Root and Verda Faught Root.

Funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Vincent DePaul, Western Gateway Shopping Center, 1901 Russellville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Newman; a son, Matt Newman and his wife, Sherri, of Bowling Green; a daughter, Amy Baldwin and her husband, Troy, of Scottsville; a sister, Pam Landry of Stockbridge, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Sue Massey of Bowling Green; and six grandchildren, John Thomas, Spencer and Grayson Newman, all of Bowling Green, and Chance, Kaylee and Jaxon Baldwin, all of Scottsville.
