Fort Boonesborough State Park near Richmond will be the setting for a film crew working on a feature about the path taken by explorer Daniel Boone.

The three-part series, the second of which is called “Daniel Boone in Kentucky,” will be hosted by Darby Hinton, who played the role of the pioneer’s son Israel Boone in the 1960s TV series “Daniel Boone” that starred Fess Parker. The series – called “Daniel Boone’s Path” — takes a look at Boone’s travels and what those areas look like today.
