Jean R. Kroskie

LILLY, Pa. — Jean R. Kroskie, 86, of Bowling Green, Ky., died March 16, 2009.
The Portage native was born Sept. 18, 1922. She was a member of St. Michael United Methodist Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a daughter of the late Clell and Effie Coleman Ross and the wife of the late James Kroskie. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy; a fiance and companion, Harold Cassidy; two sisters, Annabell Stombaugh and Emma Stormer; and three brothers, Lloyd, Harold and Ivan.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Thomas F. Cloherty Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. EDT and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. EDT Friday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at the funeral home. J.C. Kirby & Sons Funeral Home assisted the family.
Survivors include two sons, Barry and his wife, Peggy, of Bellvue, Wash., and Ronald and his wife, Joann, of Ebensburg; a daughter, Jeannie and her husband, John Malloy, of Bowling Green, with whom she lived; four grandchildren, Shawn McGinty, Amy Swenson, Melissa Kroskie and Jessica Hans; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Waide Ross and Lester Ross; and a very dear friend, Mary Kertes of Lilly.
