  • Singer/songwriter/preacher Mike Rayson will be at Faith United Methodist Church, 600 Veterans Memorial Lane, on April 5. He will preach at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and have a concert at 6 p.m. Rayson has done a lot of work with the Upper Room Chapel in Nashville. He is originally from Australia, but has relocated to Nashville. He comes from an Australian denomination similar to the United Methodist and now is pursuing becoming a local pastor in the UM church. The church will also hold a fish fry, auction and cake walk at 5 p.m. March 28. Proceeds will be used for outreach and mission projects.   • Calvary Baptist Church, 3011 Elrod Road, will have a Police Officer Appreciation at 10:30 a.m. March 22. A special invitation is extended to the Bowling Green Police Department, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the Kentucky State Police, the Western Kentucky University Police Department and the Kentucky CVE officers and any other local peace officers, along with their families.
