SCOTTSVILLE — Earmine Colum “Tony” Gibbs Jr., 79, of Scottsville died at 8:30 a.m. March 4, 2009, at his residence.

The Warren County native was a retired employee of Eaton Corp., a retired Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam after 22 years of service and a member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church. He loved the Lord. He was a son of the late Earmine Colum Gibbs Sr. and Ruby Mae Spry Gibbs. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Patton Gibbs and James “Freddy” Gibbs.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Fort Campbell. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Bobbie Jean Gibbs; two sons, Charles McInnis and James McInnis and his wife, Tammy, all of Scottsville; four daughters, Colleen Yahle of Milton, Ohio, Lisa Mills and her husband, Bruce, of Scottsville, Ruby Justice and her husband, Mark, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Debra Alcott and her husband, Todd, of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren, Travis Fisher, David Fisher and Erica Yahle, all of Milton, Anthony McInnis, Nathan McInnis, Sharon McInnis and Ben Mills, all of Scottsville, Jennifer Garcia, Rebekah Santiago and Brian Justice, all of Lehigh Acres, and Jacob Alcott of San Antonio; six great-grandchildren, Travis Taylor II, Madison Taylor, Kaitlin Fisher, Miykela Fisher, Malachi Santiago and Micah Santiago; two brothers, Larry Gibbs and his wife, Tara, of Bowling Green, and Tommy Gibbs and his wife, Sharon, of Franklin; three sisters, Helen Lovan of Rineyville, Mildred Charlton and her husband, Kenny, of Bowling Green, and Mary Ruth Ford and her husband, Bill, of Columbia, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
