RUSSELLVILLE — Emily Hall Sosh, 90, of Russellville died Feb. 6, 2009, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
The Auburn native was a former elementary teacher in the Russellville City Schools and served as pianist for First Baptist Church in Russellville for many years. Music was the center of her life and she thoroughly enjoyed playing the piano for her Sunday School class and accompanying the services at church. She had many close friends so dear to her who joined her in activities every day. “Mamaw” Sosh delighted in the visits of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to her home and enjoyed traveling with them. She was the daughter of William Duke Hall and Emily Barker Hall of Auburn, and the wife of the late W.P. “Winky” Sosh, former owner of WRUS Radio in Russellville. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Hall, whose wife, Dorothy, lives in Knoxville, Tenn.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Young Funeral Home, Russellville chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a son, William Lon Sosh of Russellville, husband of the late Marie Sosh; and two daughters, Ann Sosh Leigh and her husband, Rick, of Georgetown and Jean Sosh Reynolds and her husband, Mark, of Russellville. She was a loving grandmother to Londa Sosh Nau and her husband, Fritz, of Naples, Fla., Christie Sosh Schwab of Palm Beach, Fla., Shannon Leigh Gullett and her husband, Anthony, of Georgetown, Amy Leigh Richey and her husband, Brent, of Bowling Green, MegAnn Piper Leigh of Georgetown and John Brett Reynolds and Ann Michele Reynolds, both of Russellville. She has seven great-grandchildren, Campbell Elisabeth Richey and Reed Michael Richey of Bowling Green, Pallie Reed Gullett, Piper Ann Gullett and Parks Leighton Gullett of Georgetown, Ryan Nau of Naples and Emily Ann Schwab of Palm Beach. She was the sister of Jean Hall Forgy, who resides with her husband, Byron Forgy, in Morganton, N.C.
