David L. Armstrong, 79, of Bowling Green died at 6 p.m. Jan. 27, 2009, at his residence.

The Hardy, Ark., native was a retired employee of General Motors Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was a son of the late Andrew Armstrong and Cora Worthington Armstrong and the husband of the late Marie Lamb Armstrong. He was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Vawter; and three brothers, Jack, Clifford and Bernice Armstrong.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel, with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Adams and her husband, Curtis, of Mount Adi, Ark.; four sons, Ricky Armstrong and his wife, Janet, and Steve Armstrong, all of Bowling Green, Ronnie Armstrong of Louisville and Michael Armstrong and his wife, Ann, of Lebanon, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Jody Marie Eidson, Nikki Deshay Jacobs, Christy Marie Armstrong, Benjamin Michael Wood and Bradley Mark Wood; four great-grandchildren, Joseph Harley Eidson, Sean Dylan Eidson, Taylor Deshay Jacobs and Riley Turner Jacobs; three sisters, Bonnie Spurlock of Springfield, Mo., Wanda Lee Longbottom of Raymora, Mo., and Sarah Lou Mattox and her husband, Ron, of Burbon, Mo.; two brothers, Charles Armstrong and his wife, Brenda, of Oklahoma and Boyce Armstrong and his wife, Teresa, of Gustine, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
