FRANKLIN — Ruth Aleen Short, 75, of Franklin died at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 15, 2009, at The Medical Center.

The Clay County, Tenn., native was a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Granville Rush and Iva Myrtle Bean Rush and the wife of the late Franklin Short.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Sulphur Spring Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today and at 6 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include four sons, Doug, James, Mickey and Ricky Short, all of Franklin; a daughter, Virginia Short of Portland, Tenn.; a sister, Virgie Ward of Nashville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
