All Aboard The Polar Express!

The Polar Express Storytime, that is! It is the fifth year of conducting The Polar Express story aboard the Historic Railpark’s Duncan Hines Dining Car at 401 Kentucky Street. Sponsored by the Warren County Public Library, the Historic Railpark and Train Museum, Kentucky Blue Gas Co., and WUHU, families are invited to board The Polar Express December 15 n 17.

The Polar Express Storytimes will take place on Monday, December 15, Tuesday, December 16, and Wednesday, December 17, at 5:00, 5:30, 6:15, and 6:45 pm.

“The Polar Express Storytime is a captivating event in which we bring Chris Van Allsburg’s book to life,” says Laura Johnson, Warren County Public Library Youth Librarian. “These storytimes have become a magical Christmas tradition that people of all ages enjoy.”

“The Polar Express Storytime is an annual event cherished by the families of south central Kentucky,” said Kentucky Blue Gas Co. Corporate Secretary Gary Burghart. “We are committed to being active supporters of this great community and are proud to sponsor this wonderful holiday tradition.”

Events are free, but all participants must have a ticket in order to board the train for the storytimes. Tickets will first be available at the Historic Railpark on Saturday, December 6. After December 6, those interested can pick up tickets at the Railpark or call 270-745-7317 to reserve them and pick them up at a later date. The Railpark is closed on Mondays.
