A police chase that started at Morgantown and Russellville roads ended a few minutes later on Campbell Lane Thursday.

Timothy L. Sarver, 38, of Bowling Green was charged with first-degree fleeing and evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, driving under the influence, failure to wear seat belt, no insurance and no operator’s license at about 1 p.m. at Campbell Lane near McIntosh Drive, according to a Kentucky State Police report.

The chase ended when Sarver ran into a state police cruiser while trying to maneuver around slowed traffic, according to the report.

The chase started when the Bowling Green Police Department attempted to pull over Sarver on an indictment from the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, according to a city police report.

Sarver is at the Warren County Regional Jail on $35,000 bond.

Bowling Green police are investigating a theft from an apartment complex.

Sometime Nov. 1, a white Club Car golf cart was stolen from The Registry on Old Morgantown Road.

The cart is distinctive with fake tail pipes, flames and musical horn. The cart, valued at $4,500, had chrome “Streetrod” and “Streetmachine” emblems on it.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to report it to Bowling Green-Warren County Crime Stoppers at 781-2583 or online at www.781clue.org.

Tips may be left anonymously and information that leads to a conviction is eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Arrest — Sheila M. Tanner, 45, 2227 Hardison Road, Woodburn, was charged with second-degree assault and driving under the influence at 1:16 a.m. today at 210 E. 13th Ave., according to a city police report.

Tanner got into an argument with a woman and punched her through her car window, according to a report. Tanner allegedly backed up the vehicle, then accelerated toward the other woman, according to the report.

She told police she was trying to hit the woman with her car, according to the report.

She is being held without bond.

Arrest — Daniel R. Key, 19, 474 Blunt Road, Adolphus, Brandon D. Burton, 19, and Jonathan W. Burton, 18, both of 302 N. Fourth St., Scottsville, were all charged with receiving stolen property over $300 at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at EZ Money Pawn Shop at 1175 Clay St., according to a city police report.

The three were attempting to sell guitars that had been stolen from a church in Scottsville, according to the report.

They are being held without bond.

Arrest — Kevin Peoples, 28, 1599 Boyds Knob Road, Munfordville, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and receiving stolen property under $300 at 3:14 p.m. Thursday at Check Express at 1713 Scottsville Road, according to a city police report. Peoples was allegedly trying to cash a forged check for $1,800.

Peoples is being held on $5,000 bond.

Burglary — Jewelry, a silver belt buckle and a poker chip set valued at $475 were stolen Wednesday from a residence in the 2400 block of Thoroughbred Drive, according to a city police report.

Criminal mischief — A window was broken causing $450 in damage between 4:30 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Bryant Way, according to a city police report.

Criminal mischief — Four tires were cut causing $350 in damage between 10:40 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday in the 3400 block of Banyon Court, according to a city police report.

Indictment — Charles Harney, 24, 1516 Newton Ave., was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Bowling Green on charges of attempted distribution and possession of child pornography using his computer and a file sharing program.

The indictment alleges that in September and October 2007, Harney attempted to distribute and possessed images of child pornography, according to a report from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Louisville.

The BGPD and the state police Electronic Crime Section investigated the case, according to the report.

If convicted, Harney faces a minimum of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and supervised release for up to life, according to the report.

Theft — Cash and a GPS valued at $540 were stolen between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 4:30 a.m. Wednesday from a vehicle in the 800 block of Winona Court, according to a city police report.
