Phillip A. Walbert

SUMMER SHADE — Phillip Andrew Walbert, 75, of Scottsville died Nov. 10, 2008, at The Medical Center at Scottsville.

He was a farmer and a member of Pink Ridge Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Leonard Andrew and Verbie Jessie Walbert. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Allen Jessie; two brothers, James T. Walbert and Ralph Jessie; and a sister, Flossie Hayes.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with burial in Pink Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Byrd and her husband, James, of Frankfort and Brenda Sue Walbert of Glasgow; five grandchildren, James, Benjamin, Jonathan, Jennifer Byrd and Christina Galindo; two great-grandchildren, Rose and Jasmine Galindo; an aunt, Edna Walbert of Glasgow; a special friend, Katherine Mansfield of Scottsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
