Congratulations to Dirty Finger Blues Band, who our members scored highest in the Kentucky Blues Society’s competition held for the International Blues Challenge. They, along with Brian Witty, selected by our members, will represent the Kentucky Blues Society in Memphis at the world’s largest gathering of blues acts for the 25th IBC on Feb 4-7, 2009. Find out more about the IBC at www.blues.org.

We would like to thank all the talented musicians who competed, our members who attended and judged, our members who ran the event for us, especially Ryan Stiles, Barbara Burns, Jeff Willis for their hard work…..WhaBah for their support, and the big enthusiastic crowd who showed up to support our event.

We appreciate all who made this event a success. This was by far the largest turnout for our IBC selection event we have ever had. Anyone who took pictures, please email them to us at kyblues@gmail.com or a link to where they are on the web so we make them part of our website. We have some video which will be part of our TV and online video presentation that we hope to have up soon.

We had a great acoustic jam at the beginning of our event last night….and a great electric jam at the end of our event last night. And… we got a great jam coming up next Sunday, y’all.
