Annie M. Coulter

Annie M. Coulter, 86, of Bowling Green died at 11:35 a.m. Sept. 21, 2008, in Nashville.

The Warren County native was a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother and housekeeper. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church for 51 years and a member of the Home Demonstration Club for 60 years. She enjoyed reading her Bible and the newspaper. She was also very talented with her hands and enjoyed working with crafts and loved to go camping. She was a daughter of the late Hiram Shirley and Velma Bailey Shirley and the wife of the late Tommy Coulter. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Shirley; a sister, Mary Meador; and three sons, Larry, Jessie and Melvin Coulter.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Robertson and her husband, James, of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; a brother, Sam Shirley and his wife, JoAnn, of Shepherd, Texas; a sister, Alma Dyer of Newburgh, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Oglesby, Sheila Cioffa, Robert Robertson, Brian Coulter, Jessie Coulter, Michelle Epley and Katrina Henderson; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
