Kimberly Anne Kuhlman Botkin, 46, of Alvaton died Sept. 12, 2008, at her residence.

The Granite City, Ill., native was born July 20, 1962. She was a housewife, a homemaker and a member of Broadway Methodist Church and Celebrate Recovery. She was involved in anything her children were active in and was always ready to help. Kimberly also loved showing her and her husband, Steve’s, 1969 442 Olds Pro Street Hot Rod and NHRA races. She was a daughter of Theodore “Ted” McNeill of Herrin, Ill., who survives, and the late Betty Kuhlman Schott.

Memorial service is at 6 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with private burial at a later date. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to a trust fund for her daughter’s college education fund at BB&T Bank.

Other survivors include her husband of six years, Steve Botkin; two daughters, Mamie Olivia Kuhlman-Flickner of Alvaton and Lydia Jean Kuhlman-Flickner of Bowling Green; four sisters, Debbie Dolan of Carmi, Ill., Diane Nicholas of Bowling Green, Jeyska Ground of Barren County and Cheryl Glover of Albuquerque, N.M.; a stepfather and stepmother, Theodore “Ted” and Jean McNeill of Herrin; mother-in-law, Evelyn Botkin of Alvaton; a goddaughter, Emma Ruth Heltsley of Bowling Green; a godson, Ellis Cole Heltsley of Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
