POLICE NEWS: Woman charged with robbery in connection with Wal-Mart dust-up

Arrest — Markita L. Hunter, 40, 514 B Lost Woods Circle, was charged with first-degree robbery and theft by unlawful taking under $300 at 9:13 p.m. Monday at Wal-Mart at 1201 Morgantown Road, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report.
Hunter is accused of concealing two fishing reels in her purse and attempting to leave the store, according to the report. She shoved and struck an employee in the face when the employee attempted to stop Hunter from leaving the store.
She is at the Warren County Regional Jail on $200 bond.
Arrest — Brian Antonio Bruton, 27, 1315 13th Ave., and Christopher Wayne Moody, 22, 1757 Holley Drive, were each charged with first-degree burglary at 3:28 p.m. Monday at 1413 Nutwood St., according to a city police report.
Police responded to a burglary alarm in the 1500 block of Neal Street and noticed Bruton and Moody crossing the street from the property. Moody and Bruton admitted to breaking into the residence to steal narcotics and money, according to the report.
Bruton had a handgun during the burglary, according to the report.
Bruton and Moody are each jailed on $25,000 bonds.
Criminal mischief — Doors, walls and the parking lot were spray painted, causing $1,000 in damage Sunday at Campus Pointe Apartments at 2602 Navajo Drive, according to a city police report.
A car was also painted, causing $500 in damage. The painting on the wall said “Crips for life,” according to the report.
