Husky Stache: Office Etiquette, Coworker’s Birthdays

Published 12:00 am Friday, June 27, 2008

Corporate America, a work environment many people are familiar with, can be a tricky terrain to maneuver if you’re not savvy in the ways of office etiquette. Office birthdays can be a particularly treacherous event. Husky Stache, with their special brand of hard hitting journalism, asks the question n “exactly what is the appropriate way to celebrate a co-worker’s birthday?” Should you plan an elaborate and loud celebration? Should you pay a local celebrity impersonator to deliver a singing birthday greeting? Should you bring in baked goods and crappy gifts? Should you play the “oops, I forgot it was your birthday” card? Or should you simply avoid your co-worker at all costs on their birthday?

In their never ending quest for answers to the tough questions, the Husky Stache managed to find a Public Service Announcement from 1971 that makes many excellent points on office birthday protocol that still rings true today.
