- Plano Baptist Church will kick off its vacation Bible school with a free carnival from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. VBS will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The theme will be “Jesus Calms the Storm.”
- Oakland Mount Zion Baptist Church will have vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through June 13. To close the week, all participants are invited to a picnic and swimming at Russell Sims Aquatic Park on June 14. The picnic will be at 11 a.m. and swimming will begin at 12:30 p.m. The OMZ church van will pick up children who need a ride to VBS at two locations: at 5:15 p.m. at the Kroger parking lot on Scottsville Road near the fuel station or at 5:35 p.m. at the Parks and Rec parking lot on Third Avenue. Arrive at each location five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

- Bowling Green Christian Church will have a Wednesday night series entitled “The Not-So-Late Show with Rick O’Shay.” A meal will be at 5:30 p.m. in the church commons. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children and meal reservations are requested each Monday prior to the show.
