SCOTTSVILLE — Beverly Janice Nichols, 71, of Adolphus died at 8:39 a.m. May 22, 2008, at The Medical Center.

The Nashville native was a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late James Ferguson and Patricia Fern Woods Ferguson and the wife of the late James Albert Nichols Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Nichols; and three brothers, Bobby Ferguson, Donald Ferguson and Larry Ferguson.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation begins at noon today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to funeral expenses. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, James A. Nichols Jr., Danny Wayne Nicholas and Timmy Nichols, all of Adolphus; five daughters, Debra Diane Prater and Tabitha Graves, both of Lafayette, Tenn., Janice Barrientos of Adolphus, Lisa Nichols of Gallatin, Tenn., and Tina Frost of Scottsville; two brothers, Richard Ferguson and Jackie Ferguson, both of Tennessee; four sisters, Gloria Beard, Jo Ann Bolster and Pat Hurst, all of Tennessee, and Betty Brown of South Carolina; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
