James Wesley Smith, 63, of Alvaton died April 10, 2008, at his residence.

The Nashville native was a businessman and a member and elder at Lost River Church of Christ. He was a son of the late Charles Edwin Smith Sr. and Inez Taylor Smith.

There will be private graveside services. There is no visitation. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia G. Smith; two daughters, Jennifer Earnhart and her husband, Tim, and Natalie Scarboro and her husband, Randy, all of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Hallie, Tyler, Sarah Grace and Taylor; and a brother, Ed Smith and his wife, Vicki, of Knoxville, Tenn.
