Charlene Gillette, 65, of Bowling Green, died at 8:05 p.m. March 14, 2008, at her residence.

She was a native of the Wingfield community in Edmonson County. She was a retired nursing department technician with 26 years of service at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. She loved flowers, birds, and most of all God and her family. She was a member of Hillvue Heights Baptist Church. She was the youngest of 10 children of the late Morgan and Hallie Wingfield Holder. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmore, Junior and Carlos Holder; and two sisters, Opie Strange and Irene Madison.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel, with burial in Wingfield Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Jerry Gillette; four daughters, Penny Hogue, Pam Bailey and her husband, Joe, Sandra Lindsey and Michelle Garcia; six grandchildren, Jason Hogue and his wife, Melinda, Lance Hogue, Melissa Bailey and her husband, Justin, Kathy Jo Bailey, Joey Bailey and Gabriella Garcia; five great-grandchildren, Brookelynn, Trace and Jada Bailey, and Jordan and Addison Hogue; a sister, Lova Vincent and her husband, Owen D.; three brothers, Rexy Holder of Philadelphia, Dorce Holder and his wife, Sandy, of Louisville and Carl Othel Holder and his wife, Celia, of Cave City; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Ellen Sledge.
