POLICE NEWS : 16-year-old boy killed in car accident

A 16-year-old Morgantown boy was killed Sunday in an automobile crash in Muhlenberg County.
Cody Nash was driving a 1999 Saturn east on Ky. 70 when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the left shoulder, according to a report from Kentucky State Police in Madisonville.

The vehicle overturned and Nash was ejected, according to the report. Nash was killed and a passenger, Dylan Ray Goodall, no age or address available, was taken to Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville for injuries.
Nash was a Butler County High School student.
Burglary — A TV, a stereo and a DVD player valued at $400 were stolen between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 2700 block of Nashville Road, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report. The burglar entered the residence through an unlocked rear window.
Burglary — There was $600 stolen between 8:50 a.m. and 9:17 a.m. Jan. 22 from a residence in the 100 block of Graham Drive, according to a city police report.
Burglary — Four heat pumps valued at $350 were reported stolen Monday from a storage building at Value Lodge at 760 Interstate Drive, according to a city police report. It is unknown when the items were taken.
Criminal mischief — There was $400 in damage done to a vehicle between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Fields Drive, according to a city police report.

Criminal mischief — Two side mirrors and other damage estimated at $2,000 was done to vehicle between 12:30 a.m. and 1:55 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Morgantown Road, according to a city police report.
Theft — Between Jan. 10 and Jan. 18, a green 2006 250 Arctic Cat four-wheel all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a storage unit in the Haywood area, according to a Barren County Sheriff’s Office report.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the theft. Call the sheriff’s office at 651-2771 or the tip line at 646-8771.
Theft — Clothing, two rings, a suitcase and two CDs valued at $444 were stolen between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday from a vehicle at Wal-Mart at 1201 Morgantown Road, according to a city police report.
