Kentucky State Police are investigating a Nov. 19 hit-and-run crash on Plano Road near Plano Elementary.

At about 3:40 p.m., a black Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck left the road and crossed several yards. The truck struck a tree and then ran into a garage, crashing into a car.

The motorist then drove away. Troopers were able to follow leaking antifreeze and oil to the intersection of U.S. 31-W and Ky. 240.

Witnesses described the driver as a middle-aged white male with a rough complexion and below the collar length brown hair. Evidence at the scene suggests the driver is a painter or drywall installer. The truck should have obvious front end damage.

Arrest — Daniel Lee Carr, 27, 217 Scott Lane, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia second offense and possession of marijuana at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of Scottsville Road.

Carr was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by police, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report. Police wrote in the report that marijuana and a marijuana pipe were found in the vehicle and Carr claimed they were his items.

He was released Wednesday from the Warren County Regional Jail on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Burglary — Fifteen DVDs, a DVD player, a sword and $115 in change were stolen around 3 a.m. Friday from an apartment in the 500 block of Lost Circle, according to a city police report.

The door to the apartment had been pried open. There was $340 in damage and the value of the stolen items was $365, according to the report.

Burglary — A video game system, a memory card and 12 games valued at $590 were stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. Tuesday from an apartment in the 100 block of Riverwood Drive, according to a city police report. A pane of glass on the door had been broken as well, causing $50 in damage.

Criminal mischief — A window was broken at 2:40 a.m. today at Taylor Made II at 1043 Pedigo Way, causing $315 in damage, according to a city police report.

Fraud — Fraudulent purchases for $1,346 were made using a Bowling Green woman’s credit card that was stolen Jan. 1, according to a city police report. The credit card was taken along with the woman’s wallet from her purse. There was also cash, a debit card and gift cards in the wallet valued at $105.

Theft — Two diamond rings valued at $1,648 were stolen between 1:30 a.m. Jan. 3 and 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Hanover Court, according to a city police report.

Theft — A utility trailer valued at $1,600 was stolen between 11 p.m. Monday and 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Intestate Drive, according to a city police report.

Another utility trailer valued at $850 was stolen between 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Old Louisville Road, according to a report. Both trailers were secured with locks and chains and the chains were cut from both.
