Prosecutor Charles R. Orange dies at age 52

RUSSELLVILLE — Charles Ray Orange, 52, commonwealth’s attorney for Logan and Todd counties, died Dec. 26, 2007, at his residence.

The Logan County native was born April 3, 1955. He was a member of the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association, Gideons International, Kentucky Bar Association, Logan County Republican Mens Club, 4-H Alumni and the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Alumni. He was a son of Denzil Ray Orange and Ola Louise Appling Orange, both of Russellville, who survive.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chandlers Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a member and trustee, with burial to follow in Chandlers Chapel Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. today at Young Funeral Home and is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Gideons or the Chandlers Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Other survivors include his wife, Jo Orange; a son, Edwin Ray Orange and his wife, Lindsay, of Frankfort; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Louise Orange and Mary Josephine Orange, both of Russellville; and a granddaughter, Caroline Elise McNutt Orange of Frankfort.
