MORGANTOWN — Sherman McKinney, 77, of Morgantown died at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7, 2007, at a Morgantown nursing home.

The Butler County native was a retired farmer and a member of Union Baptist Church. He was a son of the late W.E. “Buster” McKinney and Ida Mandy Pendley McKinney. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louvell Barrow; and a brother, Jr. McKinney.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Chapel, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Bell Miller McKinney; a son, Roger McKinney and his wife, Rita, of Morgantown; a daughter, Becky Grise and her husband, Hylan, of Quality; two grandchildren, Eric McKinney and his wife Alicia, of Morgantown and Mandy Raymer and her husband, Chip, of Caneyville; two great-grandchildren, Logan and McKinna Raymer; three sisters, Lena Mae Short and Dorothy Casey, both of Louisville, and Brenda Cardwell of Roundhill; and a brother, Floyd McKinney of Morgantown.
