The Cumberland Falls State Resort Park Historical Dinner Series will present the story of Revolutionary War hero George Rogers Clark on Nov. 10.

Clark, a Virginian, came to Kentucky as a surveyor but made his name as a leader during the war fighting the British in the West. He settled in the Louisville area after the war. Clark is portrayed by Mel Hankla as part of the Kentucky Humanities Council Kentucky Chautauqua, which provides actors who portray characters from the state’s past.

The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m. The dinner and show are $25 per person. The park is offering an overnight package that includes a lodge room, dinner and show for two for $105.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park has a lodge, Riverview Restaurant, cottages, campground, hiking trails, fishing, horseback riding, rafting, other recreational activities and a great view of Cumberland Falls.
