BEAVER DAM — John Robert Parker, 56, of Beaver Dam died Oct. 29, 2007, at his home.
The Owensboro native was owner of J. Parker Construction, a Beaver Dam city commissioner and a graduate of Murray State University. He was a son of the late John Rupert Parker and Phoebe Corella Shown Parker.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Goshen United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Goshen Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bevil Brothers Funeral Home and begins at 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Ohio County Hospice in memory of John Robert Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Ambrose Parker; two sons, Justin Parker and his wife, Angie, of Beaver Dam and Travis Ambrose and his wife, Wendy, of Tallahassee, Fla.; two daughters, Shelly Parker Ashby and her husband, Aaron, of Beaver Dam and Ashlee Ambrose King and her husband, Gerald, of Cromwell; a sister, Nancy Parker Wray and her husband, Eddie, of Richmond; nine grandchildren, Tate Lindsey Parker, John Raymond Mafield Parker, Logan Brent Ashby, Parker Blaze Ashby, Judell Hope King, Gerald Tyler King, Lindsey Page King and Zachary Jason Parker King; a nephew, Travis Parker Timberbrook; a niece, Audra Ann Wray; a great-nephew, Easton Parker Timbrook; an aunt, Maye S. Barnes; several cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many loyal friends; and beloved pets, Callie, Mollie and Mickie.
