FRANKLIN – Stanley G. Brown, 51, of Franklin died Oct. 25, 2007, at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

The Searcy, Ark., native served as a teacher and construction worker on a mission trip in Africa. He attended Dallas Baptist College and Western Kentucky University, where he was an avid Hilltoppers basketball fan. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he was a member of the church choir. He was a son of the late Medora Ann Gill Brown and David Stanley Brown of Russellville, who survives.

Funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Crafton Funeral Home with burial in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and after 6 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.craftonfuneral

Survivors include his stepmother, Colleen Mary Brown of Russellville; two sisters, Kimberly Greer of Franklin and Mary Slack of Bowling Green; three brothers, David Brown of Russellville, Ian Brown of Bowling Green and Timothy Brown of Lexington; stepbrother, Mark Edgar of Russellville; and 10 nieces and nephews.
