Police News : Police looking for suspect in pizza delivery robbery

Crime Stoppers needs help. The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a burglary and robbery involving pizza delivery.

Just after 10 p.m. Sept. 13, someone tried to rob a pizza delivery person. Someone called and ordered a pizza to be delivered to a house in the 100 block of Springhill Avenue. When the delivery person arrived, he was met at the front door by a black man who brandished a large semiautomatic pistol.

The delivery person dropped the pizza and ran from the scene. The suspect also fled on foot in the direction of Springhill and Hickory Street. When police arrived at the house, they found it vacant.

Accident — Jamie C. Adams, 19, of Smiths Grove was killed Monday when he lost control of the 2004 Buick Ranier he was driving at about 6:50 p.m. on Bon Ayr Road, according to a Barren County Sheriff’s Office report.

The vehicle left the roadway and overturned in a field. Adams, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.

Accident — Jesse Jackson, 23, of Magnolia died Tuesday from injuries he suffered in a Sept. 21 traffic accident in Hart County, according to a Kentucky State Police report.

Jackson was driving south on Ky. 1079 at 1:53 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the right shoulder of the road. He overcorrected, crossed into the northbound lane and struck an earth embankment, flipping the 1998 Infinity several times, according to the report. He was being treated at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Arrest — Ricky W. Rogers, 39, of Russellville was charged Friday with cultivating marijuana at his residence, about five miles north of Russellville on Lewisburg Road.

Acting on a tip about drug activity at the residence, South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force agents found six marijuana plants and suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at the home, according to a task force report.

A 3-month-old child was removed from the residence by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services until a hearing can be held in Logan District Court, according to the report.

Rogers was released from the Logan County Jail after posting bond.

Arrest — Brandy Michelle Wilson, 19, 287 N. Campbell Road No. 27, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:56 a.m. Wednesday at 1797 Creason St. No. 10.

Bowling Green Police Department officers found suspected cocaine, a smoking pipe and a mirror in a purse that belonged to Wilson, according to a report.

She is at the Warren County Regional Jail on $5,500 bond.

Burglary — A television, cash and jewelry were stolen between 6:20 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. Monday from a residence in the 1100 block of Clay Street, according to a city police report.

A window was unlocked, according to the report. The value of the stolen items was $5,020.

Burglary — A purse, cash, credit and debit cards, a car key and a driver’s license were stolen between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Lois Lane, according to a city police report. The items were valued at $496.

Theft — Electronics valued at $4,050 were reported stolen at 3 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Larmon Mill Road, according to a Warren County Sheriff’s Office report.
