Lovie L. Chandler

TOMPKINSVILLE — Lovie Louree Chandler, 79, of Tompkinsville died Oct. 7, 2007, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

The Monroe County native was born April 8, 1928. She was a member of Poplar Log Missionary Baptist Church and a retired homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Herman Pennington and Grace Page Pennington. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Hughie Martin Chandler.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home, with burial in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation begins at noon today at the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Tommy Chandler and his wife, Barbara, of Columbus, Ind., and Delbert Chandler and his wife, Ronda, and Jerry Chandler and his wife, Shelia, all of Tompkinsville; a daughter, Janice H. Adams and her husband, Mark, of Temple Hill; a sister, Mable Newman and her husband, Bob, of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren, Kim Newkirk, Karrie Blondell and her husband, David, Thomas Chandler and Terri, Jeremy Chandler, Paul Chandler, Amanda Adams and Kyle Adams; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Chandler, Tori Chandler, Jacob Newkirk, Zachary Newkirk and Lauryn Blondell.
