Drake Country Store, 7455 Plano Road, follow-up required because table can opener was not clean or sanitized; score 93. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 97.

Papa John’s Pizza, 390 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, follow-up required because there were two dented cans of pizza sauce; and the sanitizer was toxic in the wiping cloth solution; score 87. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 97.

WKU E.A. Diddle Arena, 1 Big Red Way, follow-up required because there were no labels on spray bottles of liquid; and some cleaning supplies and butane fuel were stored on a shelf with prep utensils; score 90. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 95.

American Legion, 208 Dishman Lane, passed; score 98.

Comfort Inn, 4646 Scottsville Road, passed; score 93.

Bowling Green Group Home, 7210 Porter Pike, passed; score 96.

440 Main Restaurant, 440 Main Ave., follow-up required because pesticides were stored with the cleaning chemicals; score 83. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 88.

Mammoth Cave Market, 592 Oakland Flatrock Road, follow-up required because the hand sink/mop sink had iced drinks in it; and barbecue was not at 140 degrees; score 87. Passed follow-up inspection; score 100.

Waffle House, 150 Three Springs Road, follow-up required because insecticides were not approved for use in restaurants; score 91. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 96.

Burger King, 731 Campbell Lane, follow-up required because utensils containers were not clean or sanitized as were the utensils in them; and chicken tenders were at improper temperature; score 87. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 96.

Smiths Grove IGA, 169 Vincent St., Smiths Grove, passed; score 97.

Happy Inn Restaurant, 1475 Kentucky St., follow-up required because the bleach was toxic in the wiping cloth solution; and the spray bottle of window cleaner was not labeled; score 83. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 88.

Britthaven of Bowling Green, 5079 Scottsville Road, passed; score 99.

Fred’s Minit Mart, 3810 Scottsville Road, passed; score 97.

— Restaurants are inspected at least once every six months by Barren River District Health Department inspectors who use a 44-item checklist to evaluate a restaurant’s cleanliness, food handling and storage.

Follow-up inspections are done, if needed.

A restaurant has 10 days to correct its problem if it scores below an 85 or is cited for a critical violation.
