Chris Houchens is the Online Director for all the online properties of the Daily News including bgdailynews.com, the Amplifier, and Soky411.biz. He is responsible for all online content of the newspaper including news and advertising and for the promotion and marketing of bgdailynews.com.

Chris, a Glasgow native, is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned his BA in Advertising with a minor in Marketing. While at Western, Chris worked in the ad department of the College Heights Herald and served as the Creative Director of the student ad agency, ImageWest.

Prior to coming to the Daily News, Chris worked as the Marketing Director for a local healthcare provider and as the Operations Manager of a local radio group.

In addition, Chris is a freelance marketing writer, blogger, and speaker for numerous companies across the U.S.

Chris, his wife Laura, and his son Jackson live on a farm that straddles the Warren/Barren county line.
