18th Annual Kenlake Hot August Blues Set For Aug. 24-25

HARDIN, Ky. n It’s time once again for the 18th Annual Kenlake Hot August Blues Festival on Aug. 24-25 at Kenlake State Resort Park.
The festival will host 12 bands starting Friday night at 5 p.m. at Kenlake’s amphitheatre, overlooking beautiful Kentucky Lake, with gates opening at 4 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 25, the gate opens at 9 a.m. with performances beginning at 10 a.m.

Headlining the festival this year are Clarence Dobbins on Friday night and The Reba Russell Band on Saturday.
Tickets can be bought in advance at the Kenlake lodge, Roof Brothers Wine and Spirits in Paducah, and the Big Apple in Murray. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate and are $10 for Friday and $15 for Saturday. You can purchase combo tickets for $22.
Mike Griffin, voted favorite blues act for Kenlake’s Hot August Blues, will be back again this year. Mike has been coming to the Blues Festival since its beginning 18 years ago.

The resort is 40 miles southeast of Paducah. If you are traveling east on I-24, exit to the Purchase Parkway, then exit on US 68 east. If you are traveling west on I-24, take the Cadiz exit to US 68/KY 80 west.
