Bicycle riders who are also fans of bluegrass music will find a lot to like at the 4th Annual Pickin’ & Pedalin’ Bike Tour to be held in Henderson Saturday Aug. 11.
The bike event coincides with the 22nd Annual Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival, set for Aug. 9-11 on the Henderson riverfront along the Ohio. For more information about the music festival, visit www.bluegrassintheparkfestival.com.

Riders registration will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the registration tent at Second and Water Streets.
Bikers can choose from three routes, depending on their ability and endurance. There will be a 12-mile route, a 38-mile ride and a 62-mile ride. All three routes start at Audubon Mill Park, located on Water Street between First and Second Streets in downtown Henderson. There will be a staggered start, and bikers can travel at their own pace.
Riders will pedal past historic homes on Main Street to reach flat country roads that provide excellent terrain for biking. Rest stops featuring bluegrass entertainment, refreshments and restrooms will be available. An all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast will be offered from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at a charge of $6.
The Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival will present outstanding musical performers beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday and lasting all day and well into the evening. After the ride, showers will be available to bikers at the local YMCA.
