Gaylene M. Slattery

INDIANAPOLIS – Gaylene Marie Slattery of Indianapolis died June 12, 2007, after a lengthy illness.
The Gardner, Kan., native was born May 17, 1942. On Dec. 29, 1959, she married Thomas Slattery of Salem, S.D., in Cairo, Ill. She was a daughter of the late Homer Charles and Marie Sears Starr.
There will be a memorial service in August in Chesterton.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Lions Cancer Control Fund of Indiana or the American Lung Association.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Slattery; a son, Timothy of Bowling Green; a daughter, Susan Garrard and her husband, Michael, of Indianapolis; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Slattery of Bowling Green; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Hannah and MacMillan of Bowling Green and William and Thomas Garrard of Indianapolis.
