Samuel Douglas “Bear” Adger Jr., 57, of Bowling Green died May 31, 2007, at Greenview Regional Hospital.
The San Francisco native was a retired employee of Bread & Bagel and Dixie Cream Donuts, an Army veteran and a member of the Flying Dragons Motorcycle Club. He was a son of the late Samuel Adger Sr. and Pearl Waters Adger. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cofer; and a brother, Damon Dickerson.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, with burial in Davis-Hoffman Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burnam & Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Adger; a daughter, Pamelia Anderson and her husband, Joseph Phill, of Bowling Green; five sons, Kelvin Cofer and his wife, LaKeisha, Kalvin Cofer and his wife, Keelita, Kendrick Cofer, Marcus Adger and his wife, Theresa, and Dathan Cofer, all of Bowling Green; a sister, Mary Clark and her husband, LaVoid, of Bowling Green; a brother, Grover Johnson of Louisville; 21 grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
