Lucille Rhodes

SCOTTSVILLE – Lucille Rhodes, 73, of Scottsville died at 7:05 a.m. May 19, 2007, at The Medical Center.

The Monroe County native was a housekeeper for Roy and Mattie Bell Newman for more than 35 years and a member of Fountain Run Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Scottsville. She was a daughter of the late Luther Shelby Carpenter and Lena Wilburn Shipley Carpenter and the wife of the late William Leslie Rhodes.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Shelby Boards and his wife, Emma, of Scottsville; a daughter, Sharonda Starks of Gallatin, Tenn.; a sister, Tellie Starks of Scottsville; a special niece, Louella DeBow of Gallatin, Tenn.; special cousins, Mary and James Sears of Scottsville; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
