T. JACK EVERSOLE - Retired from BRADD

Since coming to Bowling Green in the late 1950s, T. Jack Eversole has unselfishly dedicated more than 40 years of his life to the economic development of this region.

It was in 1968 that Eversole brought together citizens and elected officials from a 10-county area to form the Barren

River Area Development District.

He became the first executive director of the organization, a role he served for more than 32 years.

He continues to volunteer his services to BRADD today at age 82.

Eversole’s work with the district has had an immeasurable impact on the region, as the following examples illustrate.

When the Chrysler Air-Temp plant was looking for a new location, Eversole wrote the first grant application for federal funds to provide water, sowing the seeds for future economic development-the benefits of which we are now reaping.

The GM plant exists at this site today, and BRADD assistance once again played a huge role in necessary upgrades to the facility.

His leadership was instrumental in developing startup and bridge loans for new or expanding businesses, of which Trace

Die Cast was one of the first beneficiaries.

In his long career in public service, Jack has mentored thousands of young people as they began careers.

In spite of his accomplishments, he has stayed out of the limelight and let others take the credit for his success.

Eversole retired in 2000, but continues to serve his community and region.other volunteers by her dedication and hard work.
