Police Reports – Drug agents find meth lab south of Adairville

Agents from the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force uncovered a meth lab at 10:15 a.m. Monday, five miles southeast of Adairville.
Acting on a tip about an illegal anhydrous ammonia tank, the task force found several bags and a plastic tote, all containing items to make meth.
There are no suspects.
Arrest – Two people were charged Monday with stealing a firearm, according to Bowling Green Police Department report.
A Somerset man reported that a Glock 23, valued at $570, was stolen by people who had been staying with him.
The man said he found the people, Matthew Gerhard Shilts, 24, and Leah Lois Wettstein, 24, in Bowling Green’s Motel 6. Police interviewed the two and said Wettstein told them they pawned the gun.
Shilts is charged with identity theft and theft of a firearm. Wettstein is charged with theft of a firearm. Both are in Warren County Regional Jail on $5,000 cash bonds.
Theft – A $1,600 dirt bike was taken between Friday and Monday from the front porch of a home in the 100 block or Durrenberger Lane, according to a city police report. The KTM 50 Jr. Pro Series bike was orange with a black seat.
Theft – A car stolen early April 4 was found wrecked and running near Glendale Baptist Church on Roselawn Way before the owner knew it was missing. The 1999 Dodge Intrepid sustained about $1,200 in damage from being wedged under a chainlink fence. The fence sustained about $400 in damage.
Theft – A cell phone, purse and other items, valued at $405, were taken April 6 from an apartment in the 2000 block of Thoroughbred Drive, according to a city police report.
Theft – A factory CD changer, CDs and case, altogether valued at $1,875, were taken April 4 from a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Wellington Way.
Theft – A Bowling Green restaurant owner told police Wednesday an employee of her restaurant, Huang’s New Century Buffet, 160 River Place Ave., stole three checks from the business last month and forged one of them, according to a city police report. The employee was last seen March 5, according to the report, and a check for $4,000 was forged March 7. An investigation is ongoing.
