Mary D. Gaines

Mary D. Gaines works in the business office of the Daily News. The Bowling Green native attended Western Training School and received her degree in journalism from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma social sorority and a former member of the Junior Womens Club. She served on the Committee of 75 at Western Kentucky University in 1981. Mary is a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Mary began working at WKCT-AM/WDNS-FM in 1975 in the sales department. She began working at the Daily News in 1977 in the advertising department. In 1979, she started working in the business office as office manager, national advertising manager, accounts payable and promotions.
