An Edmonson County jury found Earl Vincent Jr., 64, guilty Wednesday of several sex-related crimes and sentenced him to 50 years in prison.
The jury deliberated on 29 counts, including first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and other sex-related crimes, according to a Kentucky State Police report.

A three-month investigation ended in August with Vincent, who was living in Tennessee at the time, being charged with 294 counts of sex-related offenses, according to state police.
“This is the same as a life sentence to Mr. Vincent, since he is 64 years old,” said state police Sgt. John Clark, who investigated the case. “The Edmonson County jury sent a clear message to sexual offenders: We will not tolerate this type of activity in our county.”
Arrest – Bruce D. Carver, 32, of Scottsville and Johnny D. Cline, 47, of Franklin were arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday on Roosevelt Street in Franklin.
The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force and state police pulled the vehicle over and found suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to a task force report.
Carver was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seat belt.
Cline was arrested on a failure to appear warrant from Christian County. Both were taken to the Simpson County Jail.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Department and Franklin Police Department also assisted.
Carver’s bond is $2,000 with 10 percent accepted or a $2,000 surety bond. Cline’s bond is $247.
Assault – State police are searching for a man accused of assaulting his girlfriend and child Wednesday at 2620 Rochester Road.
Abraham Perez Gaspar, 33, of Rochester has outstanding warrants for first-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and terroristic threatening, according to a state police report.
The 2-month-old girl, Alizeica Olivia Gaspar, was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, where she is in the intensive care unit and listed in good condition, according to the report. Abraham Gaspar’s girlfriend, Amanda Sanchez, 23, of Rochester was treated for a broken nose and was released.
Burglary – A set of golf clubs valued at $1,925 was stolen from a garage in the 800 block of Chippendale Court between noon Tuesday and 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report.
Theft – Two air conditioners valued at $500 were stolen between 11 a.m. Sunday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday from an apartment in the 3200 block of Cave Springs Avenue, according to a city police report.
Theft – Four rings, $30, a cell phone, five credit cards, a purse and identification was stolen between 5:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. Wednesday from a vehicle parked at 225 E. Third Ave. at the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, according to a city police report.
A window was broken on the vehicle, according to the report. Total losses and damage were estimated at $6,890.
Theft – A radar detector and satellite radio, valued at $395, were stolen between midnight and 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of Creason Street, according to a city police report.
Theft – Copper wire valued at $720 was stolen between Monday and Wednesday from a construction site in the 200 block of State Street, according to a city police report.
